WHAT IT MEANS: the free and unmerited favor of God.
Grace will stop you in your tracks. It is the opposite of karma, hustling, or getting what you deserve. Grace is amazing because you actually receive what you don't deserve and didn't earn. It's free, generous, life-giving, and there's no such thing as too much grace.
As imperfect and flawed women, we need grace every day to remind us of who we are, why we are here, and where we are going. So today, take as much as you need and give it freely to someone else.

Next on our #AfricanDiaspora tour is #Cuba.

From 1789 to 1820, Cuba imported close to 1 million Africans to be sold as slaves. Even after slavery was outlawed in Cuba in 1886, many in leadership placed laws aimed at preventing Cuba from becoming “too black.” Gradually, it became too difficult to separate the two as more than 62 percent of Cubans are of Black or mixed heritage. From religion to art and food, the cultural elements of Cuba are heavily influenced by African heritage.
If you’re planning a trip to Cuba, here’s where you should consider:
Havana - take a tour of El Capitolio – National Capitol Building and The Malecón.
Vinales — A tiny town with a huge countryside meant for exploring and bull riding.
Trinidad — stroll through the markets and visit Playa Ancon to unwind and play in the sun.

Traveling is the opposite of walking by faith and not by sight. ⠀
⠀
You can’t live your life by someone else’s account. You have to go see for yourself. And while you’re there — ⠀
⠀
Inhale deeply the smell of the ocean or the countryside. ⠀
⠀
Touch, shake hands, or embrace the people you meet according to their local customs. ⠀
⠀
Taste the flavors of the local cuisine. Don’t be afraid to try something new. ⠀
⠀
But don’t drink the water. ⠀

Stay tuned for today’s destination. ⠀

⠀
Better yet, try this blood orange smoothie for breakfast in the morning. ⠀

2 frozen bananas⠀

God indeed gives beauty for ashes. Enjoy this new #MusicMonday playlist with songs that remind us all that He is good, He is love and He is constantly providing what we need to live life abundantly in this life.⠀
⠀
Our featured artist Sara Groves (@grovesroad) is an amazing lyricist who challenges us to stand up for what is right and sings about God’s heart for you (yes YOU, His favorite!). ⠀

The face you make when you don’t have to go in to work. 😁😁😁⠀
⠀
For those of you who are new to the page, my name is Yolande and I’m the founder of @witandgracemag, a faith-based magazine for women. ⠀
⠀
Here are five things to know about me (and the mag!) ⠀
⠀
1. I have a 9-5 job working in corporate communications for a large healthcare company. I spend all day creating health-related content and it’s forced me to be vigilant about my own health. ⠀
⠀
2. I love collaborating with amazing women who are doing amazing things. Our most recent collaboration is our first-ever print magazine featuring @vonnettestewart, @oheneyere_gifty_anti, @jennynuccio, @imanicollective, @glaudibyjohanahernandez, @alicia_olatuja, and many more. You can order your copy on our website. ⠀
⠀
3. I am passionate about diversity and inclusion and am a champion of all women. Our team is intentionally diverse and so is our magazine. We welcome all female contributors who love Jesus and have something meaningful to say about love, travel, faith, health, and social justice. ⠀
⠀
4. I’ll be taking over @imperishable.beauty’s Instagram this Wednesday, 02/20, and I have a fun day lined up. Trust me, you won’t want to miss it. ⠀
⠀
5. I love wearing protective hairstyles while growing out my natural hair (for the second time). It’s fun and easy and gets me to work on time. P.S. I was blonde last year — what style should I try next? ⠀
⠀
Now, tell me a little bit about you and tag your business or blog in the comments below so we can connect! ⠀
